Equipment can be greatly beneficial for moms looking to get the body they want. Working out seems very complex but understanding what equipment does and how it can be beneficial can change how workouts are done. Growing fitter does not require fancy, expensive or bulky equipment. We are going to dive in discussing very simple pieces of equipment that can yield great results. 5 pieces of Fitness equipment for moms Moms have huge responsibilities day in and day out. Most times those responsibilities push aside the most important responsibility; her health. Typically everyone comes first and mom comes last. Mom should come first. If responsibilities fall on one person and as parents typically we have our roles what happens when that person is sick or simply not running at 100 percent. Everything slows down; there is a disruption in the ecosystem. That’s why fitness equipment for moms is such an important piece of the puzzle. Incorporating exercise does a multitude of things from: improving functionality, immune system and overall energy levels. It not only becomes a preventative measure but it becomes a performance enhancer. With more energy there is less irritability and therefore more patience. Being a parent can be a challenge but we can make it easier with equipment that allows for flexibility within a workout program. Mom’s can benefit from a suspension trainer TRX that can travel everywhere, simply no equipment with just utilizing one’s own body weight, kettlebell’s that travel with the ability to achieve full body fitness, bands that travel providing wide variations of exercises to target all the major muscle groups and last but not least the ankle weights that can be packed away and taken anywhere giving a unique full body workout. TRX Everywhere TRX is a suspension device that is portable and can be attached almost anywhere. The military even utilized this in Middle Eastern deserts. Beginners to advanced can utilize by scaling the movements for their desired response. TRX provides options to do upper body, lower body or a total body workout. When looking at fitness equipment for moms it definitely is one that should be near the top. Good ole fashion body weight Utilizing one’s own body weight can be the best thing. With many of us having mobility limitations body weight exercises are great at improving the range at which we move. Fitness equipment for moms can be trying sometimes for many reasons: time, equipment, lack of knowledge and limitations within the body’s ability to move. Body weight workouts eliminate the time issue with workouts that can be done anywhere, anytime and at any duration. It could be as low as 5 minutes with a proper structure, for example, utilize squats, burpees and bicycle crunches. Legs, core, upper body and cardio all in one with zero time included in transitioning from one station to the next. On the equipment front there is nothing that is needed so problem solved. So many times we equate equipment with weights, machines and bands but simply putting on our tennis shoes we have all the equipment we need in our bodies. Lastly movements can be practiced with nothing obstructing or hindering due to a machine or weight tax the muscle more. Movements can be scaled to improve mobility, for instance, if you need help with squats add a chair using it to sit on and find your proper footing and positioning. Body weight can solve a lot of exercise related problems. It’s not confined to bringing equipment while traveling, figuring out how to utilize anything other than the movements, easily scalable and great on time. Exercise with Bands Like with body weight these exercises are great to utilize anywhere anytime. Bands can give greater amount of exercises, more than just used for exercise and can be packed taken where ever need be. Many different exercises can be done, with many more muscles utilized. Exercises can be super set to create quick time efficient workouts hitting multiple muscles in one session or even a whole body workout if done correctly. Different types of workouts can be done whether going for reps to build muscle or strengthen the muscle. At the same time they are a perfect tool to hit different tempos, negatives and partials. If there’s an injury or a tweaked muscle bands can help rehabilitate and strengthen to make sure no workouts are missed and no severe injuries occur. Maybe the biggest plus is bands can be taken anywhere. They are easy to pack away in a bag, car or any way to store. Bands can go on vacation or work trips so a workout is never missed. They are rather inexpensive and have a long shelf life. Bands can be really great for moms and shouldn’t be underestimated. Utilizing kettlebells for a full body workout Yet another tool that can help a mom have a complete fitness program with just a kettlebell. When utilizing a kettlebell it not only saves time, works the body from different angles and conditions the body. From kettlebell swings to push presses there are many compound exercises that hit so many muscles at one time. Having a total body workout that gets the heart rate up for post exercise calorie burn and strengthening the muscles at the same time can help tremendously with a positive body composition outcome. Growing more lean tissue leads to a higher basal metabolic rate which means more calories are burned without exercising and simply being at rest more calories can be burned. Kettlebells can be transported as well; however they are nowhere as easy to take around as a band or simply just the body. With that being said they can be utilized if going on trips so much so people take them on planes. The time efficiency allows for 5 to 20 minute total body workouts to be achieved with ease. Kettlebells aren’t as transportable as other pieces of equipment but can certainly give a workout moms can love while adding meaningful resistance to a workout helping with the progressive overload phase. Ankle or wrist weights create the total body workout Ankle weights can be strapped on the wrist allowing an upper or lower body workout to be designed. Like all above these are time efficient, have the ability to transport and safely utilize. The beauty of ankle/ wrist weights is that muscles can be targeted in many ranges. More muscles can be targeted than a typical dumbbell, machine or even kettlebell routine. Glutes can be target from all angles, hamstrings can be hit in a curling motion and quads can be hit through leg extensions providing a complete leg workout. With the upper body the chest, back, shoulders and arms all can be hit in one workout. Like the bands, different tempos can achieve safely and working the muscle through the eccentric and concentric phase. Range of motion is not limited to a machine and is accessing ranges that typically cannot be achieved with other pieces of equipment. Yet another great tool that give a complete program for moms. Fitness equipment for moms doesn’t have to be complex; rather they should be simple and easy to do. All the equipment above can be transported, time efficient, and highly versatile to make a sustainable complete program. Different rep ranges can be hit; more muscles can be targeted and are completely scalable to a mom’s individual needs. There is no need to jump into programs that require time commitments, exercises that simply are not necessary and fall into the trap so many do with the wide range of workouts out there keeping things simple. As a mom putting yourself last is no longer an option. No longer limiting the beliefs of what is needed to get fit. Expensive equipment is not needed for results at any level of fitness. Even more so for moms the simpler the better and the easier to access the ability to keep continuous habits in place make success all the higher. The elimination of having to go to the gym saves time and allows those who are just starting out to have a safe place within their own thoughts. Schedules are more adaptable to whatever lifestyle throws at us or we decide is important at that time. Vacation no longer deters us from the plan rather the workouts can be done even on vacation and not take much time at all. For people everything is now at their disposal.

I use all those (TRX, kettle bells, dumb bells, body weights,). You really do give great advice 😃
